Jane Bennet & Mr. Bingley
This fanlisting is for the relationship between Jane Bennet & Mr. Bingley in the book/movie/miniseries Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
"Pride and Prejudice was published in 1813. It is a novel of manners that is set in the English countryside during the beginning of the 1800's. The events in the novel surround the Bennet family: Mr. and Mrs. Bennet have five female children, and the society of the time required that all property be left to the oldest male heir. Since Mr. and Mrs. Bennet have no sons, Mr. William Collins is the one who will inherit the Bennet estate. This will leave the Bennet women without a home. To prevent this potentiality, Mrs. Bennet sets out to have her daughters marry into wealth so that they will all be provided for in the event of Mr. Bennet's death." (from here.)
Jane Bennet is the eldest Bennet daughter and the beauty of the family. (For more info on her, click here.) Charles Bingley is a bachelor with good connections who moves close the Bennets' home when he moves into Netherfield. (For more info on him, click here.) Both have very friendly and easy-going personalities, instantly falling for each other when they meet at a ball. While they become seperated due to misunderstandings, they overcome these obstacles and marry by the end of the novel.
I called the fanlisting "Heaven in Your Eyes" after the song "From Loving You" by Mandy Moore. There's a lyric that goes, "From that first look I knew I'd found heaven in yoru eyes." I thought it was sweet and it felt appropriate for Jane and Bingley. They are both so sweet and good, and seem completely oblivious to all the hidden motives throughout the story. Their characters are perfectly suited for each other!
